Health Alliance for Austin Musicians Benefit Day

Otherwise referred to as HAAM, this non-profit provides much needed medical, dental, and mental health resources to the musicians who make Austin the Live Music Capitol of the World. HAAM Benefit Day, which will have its 5th Annual in September 2010, is HAAM’s signature event of the year in which participating Austin area businesses donate a flat fee or 5% of the day’s proceeds. In 2009 over 200 businesses and their patrons donated over $160,000. This is a wonderful and important cause that garners tons of press including live radio coverage. Various sponsorship levels and associated benefits are available, which can include a live performance from an Austin act performing at your business on HAAM Benefit Day! Cool!

A truly one-of-a-kind event (and a Combo Platter favorite). Celebrating the pioneers of rock, blues, rockabilly, funk, soul, swamp rock, and New Orleans R&B, the Stomp throws a music-lovers party like only New Orleans can. Funded by grassroots efforts and the tireless devotion of the organizers, the Ponderosa Stomp offers a special sponsorship opportunity for the company who supports not just the treasured city itself, but American history, music pioneers, and their devoted fans. The Stomp has become a media darling, garnering coverage from the Austin Chronicle to the Wall Street Journal, and special recognition from the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and on (E Street Band member) Little Steven’s satellite radio show. The audience is comprised of a diverse mix of music lovers from all generations and walks of life, not to mention the occasional latter-day music legends who were influenced by the performers.
